Use Case: Air purification for retrofit projects
Improving indoor air quality in an existing building can involve practical constraints such as room use, available space, installation access, noise, energy use and maintenance. Healthy Air Technology can discuss room air-cleaning options for building projects where ventilation changes need careful assessment.
Air cleaning as part of an existing building
Room air cleaning and ventilation have different roles. Recirculating air cleaners treat air passing through the unit; air cleaning alone does not provide outdoor-air ventilation or replace a building’s ventilation system. The appropriate approach depends on the building, its existing systems and the needs of each space.
HATL products include room air-cleaning options that can be considered for different installation settings. For example, the HA200 is listed with recirculation, fresh-air and combined operating modes. The HA-C800 and HA-C1300 are listed with ceiling- and wall-mounting options. Product suitability should be assessed for the specific room and project.
Airflow and installation
Airflow and placement affect how air moves through a room. The HA800 uses airflow design to circulate treated air through the space. HATL describes its room-air mixing as potentially helping to reduce temperature stratification. The effect in a project depends on the room layout, installation and operating conditions.
The HA800’s standby power is one input to a building’s energy assessment. Any energy-saving or net-zero conclusion requires project-specific calculations and cannot be inferred from standby power alone.
Discuss your project with HATL
To discuss a retrofit project, share the room dimensions, intended use, occupancy, existing ventilation arrangements, installation constraints and any relevant performance requirements. HATL can then advise which available options may warrant further assessment.
